Hela Release Date — December 1, 2026 on Steam
**Hela: of Mice & Magic launches on December 1, 2026 — on Steam and consoles: PS5 and Nintendo Switch are confirmed alongside PC** via official platform trailers. There is no free demo yet, and a price has not been announced. The date caps a rollout that began with a broad "Q4 2026" window in July, so it is a locked date, not an estimate.
The confirmed timeline
Windup's roadmap for Hela: of Mice & Magic moved from event showcases to a firm date. The studio appeared at Endix Showcase in May, joined three June events including Summer Game Fest, and then announced the Q4 2026 release window on July 16. The Steam store now locks the launch to December 1, 2026.
Development blogs have kept a steady monthly rhythm since — a workshop-and-brewing deep dive landed on September 24, following a 'Tiny Hero in a Big, Magical World' overview on September 9. That cadence is a healthy sign that the December date is being actively worked toward.

Why the December 1 date matters
A concrete date three weeks inside the holiday shopping window is a confidence signal from publishers Knights Peak, Boltray Games and Shochiku. Cozy co-op adventures tend to spike around year-end, and Hela enters a launch month with few direct cozy-adventure competitors.
For players, the practical move today is wishlisting: Steam notifies you at launch and when the price appears. Our release-day checklist lives in the beginner guide.
